Gambling Literacy Awareness
Responsible Gambling Awareness Week 2010-2011
“Second Nature” – Grandma knows best, which is why we’ve drawn on her advice to show how we should make responsible gambling second nature, like brushing our teeth or looking both ways before crossing the street. This campaign uses Grandma’s cross-stitching skills to get the message across.
The Gambling Literacy Campaign is Nova Scotia Gaming’s year-round effort to deliver gambling literacy tips to you through a series of videos and activations across the province.
Using an educational “Know the Game” themed game show approach, the goal is to provide adult Nova Scotians the opportunity to learn through engaging content. In the game show, “players” answer questions about how to keep gaming positive and learn healthy play strategies.
Supportive events each year include in-person activities around the province that highlight the work we do all year long to help you understand the odds of winning and losing, as well as understanding the games you play. Here is an overview of recent campaigns.
