ROULETTE
Roulette is a fun and popular casino game. You play by placing a bet on the roulette table layout that corresponds to the number where the ball lands in the roulette wheel. Here’s how it works. In the American Roulette wheel there are 38 numbered slots, either red or black or the colours of the 0 and 00. All numbers in the wheel have corresponding numbers on the table layout. The dealer keeps the roulette wheel spinning and spins the roulette ball in the opposite direction. You can bet on a single number or many numbers, which are known as “inside bets”. You can also bet on the outcome being the colour red or black, odd or even, 1-18 or 19-36, that the number will be in the first, second, or third dozen, or one of the three columns of numbers at the far end of the table. If you have correctly guessed where the ball stops on the wheel, you win.

BLACKJACK
Blackjack is known as 21 and is a card game where you play against the dealer. The object of this game is to get as close to 21 as you can by adding the cards together without going over that number. The game starts when you are dealt your first two cards face up.
Once you have your first two cards, you have two basic options. You can say “hit” and gently tap the table, which means get another card. Or, you can say “stand” and wave your hand, which tells the dealer you do not want another card. Depending on your first two cards you may have a couple more options to choose from. You can “double down”, which means you double your bet and get only one more card. If your dealt two cards of the same value, this time you have the option to double your bet to “split” the cards and make two hands.
The dealer has a very specific set of rules and will “hit” their hand until the total is at least 17 or more points. When the dealer stops taking cards, you win if your card total is more then what the dealer has in their hand. If the player and the dealer have the same total, this is called a “push” and you don’t win or lose. A true Blackjack is when your first two cards equal 21. This gets get paid immediately unless the dealer also has a Blackjack, also considered a “push”, and you get to keep your original bet.
This is a very basic description of blackjack. Casinos may have blackjack games with slightly different rules. Make sure you learn those rules before playing by visiting the Responsible Gambling Resource Centre located at both casinos or by asking casino staff or the dealer at your table.
POKER
Poker is one of the most popular casino card games. In Texas Hold’em Poker you play to make the best five card hand to win the “pot” made up of the bets contributed by the players during four betting “rounds”. In the first round a player is first dealt two cards face down. Over the next three rounds the dealer will place five cards face up in front of them to be shared by all the players. In the second round, three community cards are placed in front of the dealer and is called the “flop”, the third round is a single card called the “turn”, and the fifth card is called the “river”. Players have the option to check, bet, raise or fold after each deal.
Since you can’t control the cards you are dealt, you will need to judge how much to bet based on the cards you have and what you think the other players are holding. You win if you have the best five card poker hand or if everyone else folds. It is possible to split the pot if you and another player have the same five card hand.

SLOTS
You’ll find many different slot games on the gaming floor. Some use actual mechanical reels and some use video screens with themed graphics that look like reels. When you play a slot machine, you may choose how many lines you would like to play and the bet per line. The wager will determine the payout.
When you play a slot machine, the most important thing to remember is that it is completely random. Nothing you do can control or influence the outcome of any spin. Slot machines have what is called a Random Number Generator (RNG) built inside. The RNG is the heart of the
machine and it’s always spinning through the millions of numbers and winning combinations. Sometimes players don’t want to leave a machine because they believe it’s “due to payout”
and if they leave, the next player will “win” their jackpot. This is not true, because each spin is independent of the spin before and randomly generated by the RNG. Slots are never
“due” to payout.
The odds of winning on a slot machine vary greatly from game to game. The odds of winning the top prize can vary from about 1 in 32,000 to more than 1 in 30 million. To learn more,
